Jay Patel, Co-Editor-in-Chief

Alexa is a fourth year biology major and has been involved with MLS since her first year. She enjoys volunteering at Ronald Reagan  Medical Center and doing research at Jules Stein Eye Institute. During Alexa’s free time you can find her spending time at the beach, kayaking, baking, and golfing.
Jay is a third year Psychobiology major from Orange County, California. He have been part of MLS since his freshman year. Jay is currently conducting research in the Staba lab at the Reed Neurological Institute. In his free time, he enjoys playing basketball and spending time with friends.

Megan is third year student who's majoring in physiological science and minoring in English. She is part of SCOPE's Patient Health Advocates and works in a microbiology lab. In her free time, she loves going to the beach, hanging out with friends, and writing.

Joyce is a second year student majoring in Psychobiology. She is also a part of Stand For All at UCLA. When classes are not in session, she sometimes hikes at NorCal trails, visits the zoo, or rereads her favorite books.

Rachel is a second-year MCDB major from Orange County. She is currently conducting research in the Yi Tang Lab and works at the Semel Institute. In her free time, she enjoys getting involved in instrumental music, binging shows, and trying new places for good food.

Paul Wong, Co-Senior Editor of Ethics​

Paul is a third-year MCDB major with a minor in Biomedical Research. He currently works in the Jewett Lab, where he studies how immunological deficiencies in natural killer cells facilitate the progression of cancer and other malignant diseases. In his free time, Paul enjoys playing basketball, hiking, and playing the saxophone.

Katie is a third year psychobiology major from Los Angeles, California. In her free time she enjoys reading and traveling. Her favorite places she's ever travelled to include Germany and Portugal

Nathaniel Stephenson, Co-Senior Editor of Op-Eds

Nathaniel Stephenson is a junior transfer majoring in biology with a minor in biomedical research with aspirations to one day become an orthopedic surgeon. He is very passionate about trying to educate others on how to live a healthier and happier life. Nathaniel enjoys traveling, sports, technology, and getting his 8 hours of sleep. ​

Avelina Maier, Co-Senior Editor of Op-Eds

Avelina is a third year Neuroscience major with a minor in Spanish Linguistics with aspirations to become an anesthesiologist. She is a Vice President for PATHS and an undergraduate research assistant at the X.W. Yang Lab where she studies neurodegenerative disorders. Her hobbies outside of school include listening to good music, traveling, exploring LA, eating good food, writing, and hanging out with friends.
